Location:7 miles south of Ely via US 50/6/93, then 11 miles southwest on Cave Valley Road (a graded dirt road).
Facilities:14 campsites (2 large pull-through sites; 1 @di site), 2 vault-typerestrooms, potable water (seasonal), rental yurt (in remote area),trails (interpretive, overlook, riparian trails; ATV-OHV multi-usetrail), picnic sites, historic features.
Activities:Camping, hiking, fishing.
Special Features:Park is located in a setting of pinyon-juniper woodlands, lush riparianareas, and outstanding views of the Steptoe Valley and surroundingmountains. It is known for its six beehive-shaped ovens, used in thelate 19th century to generate charcoal for use in the silver mines ofnearby Ward.
