Sinology, Institute of

a research institution within the system of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. The institute, which studied the history, economy, literature, and languages of China, existed from 1956 to 1960 in Moscow. It published the journal Sovetskoe kitaevedenie (Soviet Sinology).
