Location:In Ogemaw County, 4.5 miles east of Rose City off M-33.
Facilities:75 modern campsites, 99 rustic campsites, 5 rustic cabins (é),organization campground, picnic area, shelter (é), playground,multi-use trails, boat launch, snowmobile area.
Activities:Camping, boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking,hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, wildlifeobservation, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Area is a wilderness located within the AuSable State Forest andprovides a variety of recreational opportunities. It was formerly aprivate hunting and fishing retreat (Grousehaven) owned by the late HMJewett, a pioneer auto manufacturer.
