Vladimir Martynovich Khadyka

Khadyka, Vladimir Martynovich

 

Born Dec. 21, 1904 (Jan. 3, 1905), in the village of Titva, in what is now Pukhovichi Raion, Minsk Oblast; died July 1, 1940. Soviet Byelorussian poet.

Khadyka worked as a farm laborer and as a primary school teacher. He was first published in 1926. Khadyka is the author of the collections Wild Strawberries (1926), Selected Verses (1932), and Joyful Weekdays (1935); the theme of these works is the formation and growth of the new man and the overcoming of individualism.
