Pochaev

an urban-type settlement in Kremenets Raion, Ternopol’ Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located 25 km from the Kremenets railroad station, it is the terminus of a branch of the L’vov-Zdolbunov line. Pochaev has a bread-baking plant, a plant that produces dried and canned fruits and vegetables, factories that manufacture household appliances and plastic articles, and a poultry hatchery. The former Pochaev Laura (monastery) is now the Museum of Atheism.
