Adzhie Dzhindi

 

(full name Dzhauari Adzhie Dzhindi). Born Mar. 18, 1908, in the village of Iamanchair, Kars Oblast. Kurdish Soviet writer. Member of CPSU since 1946.

Dzhindi writes in Kurdish and Armenian. In 1933 he graduated from the pedagogical institute in Yerevan. He began to be published in 1930, and has written works on Kurdish Soviet literature and folklore. His Kurdish Folk Tales was published in Armenian (1940) and in Kurdish (1959). A collection of short stories entitled New Morning (in Kurdish) appeared in 1947, and the collection Kurdish Folklore appeared in 1957. The historical novel Help (1967) was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution.
