spermatogenic failure Y-linked type 2

spermatogenic failure Y-linked type 2

A disorder (OMIM:415000) characterised by the absence (azoospermia) or reduction (oligozoospermia) of sperm in the semen, resulting in male infertility.
Molecular pathology
While defects of USP9Y have been linked to spermatogenic failure Y-linked type 2, its role in spermatogenesis failure is uncertain, given that complete USP9Y deletion may occur in men without defective spermatogenesis.
