Rickey, George

Rickey, George (Warren)

(1907– ) sculptor; born in South Bend, Ind. He studied at Trinity College, Scotland (1921–26), at Oxford (1926–29), and in Paris (1929–30). He taught widely in the United States but was based in East Chatham, N.Y. He is known for his outdoor kinetic sculptures, often in polished aluminum, with parts that swing around a fulcrum in response to breezes.
