Singitic

(also called Ayion Oros), a gulf of the Aegean Sea, off the southern coast of the Chalcidice Peninsula in Greece; situated between the mountainous Sithonia and Ayion Oros peninsulas. The Singitic Gulf is 50 km long and approximately 25 km wide at its entrance, with depths reaching 500 m. Tides are semidiurnal and less than 0.5 m in height.
