Balanda

a river in Saratov Oblast, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Medveditsa (in the basin of the Don). Length, 164 km; basin area, 1,900 sq km. The Balanda River flows within the southwest part of the Volga elevation. It is fed mainly by snow. The city of Kalininsk is located on the river.
