Facilities:55 utility campsites, 100 non-utility sites, equestrian camping area, 3modern shower buildings, vault toilets, multi-use trails, swimmingbeach and bathhouse, playground, shelters, concession facility,100-acre fishing lake, 2 boat ramp lanes, 2 courtesy docks, canoe andpaddle boat rentals, historical sites.
Activities:Camping, boating (fishing boats only), fishing, swimming, hiking,horseback riding, interpretive programs, hunting (on adjacent lands).
Special Features:Located in the western Kansas prairie, park is an oasis of naturalsprings, deep wooded canyons, and craggy bluffs. The park is also rich inhistory and includes the home of the original settlers in the area (Steele home), which hasbeen preserved much as it was 100 years ago. Park is also the site of El Cuartelejo, thenorthernmost pueblo in the US.
