Ulam, Adam Ulam, Adam (Bruno)(1922– ) Russian specialist, educator; born in Lwow, Poland. Emigrating to America to teach government at Harvard University (1947), he directed the Russian Research Center (1973–74). He was a research associate for the Center for International Studies, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1953–55). Although many of his books focused on the Russian political system of the cold war era, he also wrote The Fall of the American University (1972) and contributed to many professional journals. |
