Plumas-Eureka State Park
Location:5 miles west of Blairsden on County Road A-14.
Facilities:Historic buildings, family and group campsites, picnic areas, hikingand nature trails, restrooms, visitor center, exhibits (é).
Activities:Camping, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, guided tours (seasonal), demonstrations.
Special Features:Mining began here in the 1850s and continued until World War II. Thefocal point of the park is museum building, which was originallyconstructed as the miners' bunkhouse and now serves as the park'svisitor center. Other historic buildings, which have been maintained ina "near restored" condition, include stamp mills, stable, mine office,and the blacksmith shop.
