Ushna

Ushna

 

a river in Vladimir Oblast, RSFSR; a left tributary of the Oka River of the Volga River basin. The Ushna is 160 km long and drains an area of 3,060 sq km. Fed primarily by snow, it is an intermittent stream in its upper course. The mean flow rate 62 km from the mouth is 5 cu m per sec. The river usually freezes over in November, and the ice breaks up in April.
