Ush-Beldir
Ush-Bel’dir
a balneological health resort in the southeastern Tuva ASSR. It is located at an elevation of 1,127 m on the bank of the Kyzyl-Khem River, 360 km east of the city of Kyzyl. The summers are moderately warm and the winters are very cold. The average July temperature is 14.5°C, and the average January temperature is –27°C. Annual precipitation totals about 250 mm. Therapeutic remedies include a mineral spring, whose hy- drocarbonate-sulfate sodium siliceous nitrogine-thermal (80°C) water is used for baths. Treatment is provided for diseases of the organs of locomotion and support, gynecological diseases, skin diseases, and diseases of the peripheral nervous system. The re sort has a sanatorium and a bathhouse.
