Facilities:136 en route campsites (self-contained vehicles only; no hookups), picnic areas with ramadas (é), restrooms (é).
Activities:Fishing, swimming, surfing, sailing, kiteboarding, water-skiing.
Special Features:Silver Strand's beaches serve as a peninsula separating San Diego Bayfrom the Pacific Ocean. Three pedestrian tunnels under the highway leadto the bay side of the park. Water in the bay is usually warmer andcalmer than on the Pacific side, safer for family swimming and sailing.An Aquatics Center at the park specializes in instructional classes forselect water sports.
