Transportnoe Stroitel’stvo

 

(Transportation Construction), a monthly scientific-technical and industrial journal; organ of the Ministry of Transportation Construction of the USSR.

The journal has been published in Moscow since 1931. From 1936 to 1940 it had the title Stroitel’ zheleznykh dorog (Railroad Builder), and from 1951 to 1954 it was called Zheleznodorozhnoe stroitel’stvo (Railroad Construction). The journal deals with questions regarding the surveying, planning, and construction of transportation facilities, such as railroads, motor-vehicle roads, bridges, tunnels and subways, seaports and river ports, airports, and industrial and civilian buildings. It also publishes reports on domestic and foreign experience in the area of transportation construction, as well as information and reference materials. Circulation, about 16,000 (1976).
