Rezzonico-Golgi spiral Rezzonico-Golgi spiral A microscopic finding described by C Golgi (1843–1926) and G Rezzonico, a 19th-century contemporary, as a spiral filamenous structure located deep to the incisure of Schmidt-Lantermann in the myelin sheath, which they interpreted as being contiguous with the axon itself but is now thought to have been a Schwann cell cytoplasmic process. The Rezzonico-Golgi spiral is not used in the working medical parlance. |
