Plavsk

a city and administrative center of Plavsk Raion, Tula Oblast, RSFSR. Situated on the Plava River (Oka River basin), on the Moscow-Simferopol’ highway. Railroad station 58 km southwest of Tula. Plavsk has a machine-building enterprise, a mixed-feed plant, and a plant for the production of asphalt concrete, a milk plant, a distillery, and a brickyard.
