Revizskie Skazki
Revizskie Skazki
(census lists), lists of all the individuals in the Russian Empire of the 18th and 19th centuries that were covered by the reviziia (census). They were drawn up by landowners or their stewards, by elders in settlements where state peasants lived, and by urban administrators in cities. The lists included all the inhabitants of a given locality with their age and family status. They provided information on population figures and on the population’s geographical distribution and its division into classes and nationalities.
