Schreiver, Bernard Adolph

(1910– ) aviator; born in Bremen, Germany. His parents brought him to the U.S.A. as a child. A combat veteran of World War II, Schreiver headed the Air Force's intercontinental ballistic missile program during the formative period 1954 to 1959. After retiring in 1966, he became a consultant to the aerospace industry.
