reverse Hill Sachs lesionAn indentation fracture of the anteromedial humeral head that occurs following a posterior dislocation of the glenohumeral joint. The cartilage of the humeral head is damaged, causing instability that may predispose the individual to subsequent posterior glenohumeral dislocations. TreatmentUsually no surgical intervention is required when less than approx. 25% of the articular surface is involved in the fracture. When the glenoid fossa is also fractured, shoulder arthroplasty may be required. See also: lesion |
