Plant Helminthology
(also phytohelminthology, phytonematodology, agronomic helminthology), the branch of helminthology that studies plant helminths and elaborates methods to control them and the plant diseases they cause. Plant helminthology has developed only in the 20th century. In the USSR, I. N. Filip’ev and A. A. Paramonov have played a leading role in the development of the science.
