retroverted uterus A UTERUS that lies in line with the long axis of the vagina or at an angle that slopes back from this axis. Normally, the uterus is inclined forward at about a right angle to the vagina. Retroversion is the condition of about 20% of women and is not, in itself, considered to be in any way harmful. |
