Voznesenskii, Nikolai Nikolaevich

 

Born 1878; died 1927. Soviet chemist and technologist, specialist in the dyeing of fabrics.

Voznesenskii graduated from the St. Petersburg Technological Institute in 1903. From 1903 to 1927 he was the director of the chemical-dye laboratory at the Trekhgornaia Manufaktura Factory in Moscow. Beginning in 1923 he was a professor at the Moscow Chemical-Technological Institute. He held a great number of domestic patents on techniques of dyeing and on the coloration of fabrics. Voznesenskii also put old techniques of dyeing and printing, such as black aniline dyeing, on a modern scientific basis.
