Uiandina
Uiandina
a river in the Yakut Autonomous Republic; a left tributary of the Indigirka River. The Uiandina measures 586 km in length and drains an area of 177,000 sq km. It is formed by the confluence of the Irgichian and Baky rivers and flows mostly through the Abyi Lowland, where it meanders strongly among a great number of lakes. The river is fed by snow and rain. High water lasts from June to early September. The river freezes in October, and the ice breaks up in late May or early June. The river freezes solid in late winter, and icings are common.
