Unify2
The UK Department of Health’s online data collection tool which is used to submit statutory returns to create a data warehouse. All trusts have access to screens enabling them to enter statutory weekly, monthly, and annual returns—e.g., 18-week targets. To input the data, providers—acute trusts, non-acute trusts, PCTs (as providers) and independent sector providers—download a spreadsheet form and enter their data, broken down by commissioner. Providers upload their completed spreadsheet online. After a designated cut-off date, Unify will then collect together all provider returns, aggregate the data and produce commissioner returns at PCT level. PCTs review their data online, make any amendments/validations, including adding in any data relating to the independent sector (where independent sector providers have not submitted). The PCT will then sign off the return and it will then be submitted online to DH.
