A condition occurring in 25% of those treated–onset 2nd day to 3rd wk of therapy–with all-trans-retinoic acid–eg, for acute promyelocytic leukemia Clinical Fever, dyspnea, pulmonary infiltrates, pleural effusions Treatment Corticosteroids; discontinuing all-trans-retinoic acid may be ineffective.
