Tobysh

a river in the Komi ASSR; a left tributary of the Tsil’ma River (Pechora River basin). The Tobysh is 393 km long and drains an area of 6,610 sq km. It flows within the bounds of the Timan Ridge, where it has its source; it is fed by snow and rain. High-water periods are in May and June. The river freezes in late October or early November and opens up in May.
