S&P 100

An index, weighted for market capitalization, of 100 blue chip stocks from a variety of industries. The stocks listed on the S&P 100 are the top 100 stocks on the S&P 500 by market capitalization. Its ticker symbol is OEX, and it was originally operated by the Chicago Board Options Exchange. See also: Dow Jones Industrial Average.
