vibration-induced disorders vibration-induced disorders A range of disorders that includes deafness, vibration-induced neuropathy, Raynaud's phenomenon (‘white finger’), and, in the case of whole body vibration, motion sickness, low-back pain, visual disturbances and insomnia. The hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) features spasm of blood vessels with white fingers, sensory and motor nerve damage and even muscle, bone and joint changes. This syndrome was recognized by international agreement in 1985. |
