Ugdan

a pelotherapeutic health resort in Chita Oblast, RSFSR; situated 12 km north of Chita, on Lake Ugdan. Summers are warm, with an average July temperature of 18°C, and winters are very cold, with an average January temperature of – 27°C. Annual precipitation totals 320 mm. Therapeutic remedies include the brine and silt mud of Lake Ugdan. The resort specializes in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, gynecological disorders, and diseases of the peripheral nervous system. The resort has a sanatorium and a mud-bath facility.
