Sibiriakov Island
Sibiriakov Island
(also Kuz’kin Island), an island in the southern Kara Sea at the entrance to Enisei Gulf. Sibiriakov Island has an area of approximately 800 sq km, with elevations to 50 m. It is surrounded by ice from October through July. It was named in honor of A. M. Sibiriakov by N. A. E. Nordenskjöld in 1878.
