Sibai

a city under republic (ASSR) jurisdiction in the Bashkir ASSR. Located on the eastern slopes of the Southern Urals. Railroad station 110 km southwest of Magnitogorsk. Population, 40,600 (1975). Sibai has a copper and sulfur combine, a grain elevator, a meat-packing plant, a milk plant, a brewery, a clothing factory, and a plant manufacturing reinforced-con-crete products. It also has ore-dressing and agricultural techni-cums, medical and pedagogical schools, and a theater.
