Soviet-Lebanese Agreements
Diplomatic relations between the USSR and Lebanon were established on Aug. 3, 1944. The two countries concluded agreements on trade and payments (Apr. 30, 1954, and July 16, 1970), on air transportation (Feb. 8, 1966), and on cooperation in tourism (June 8, 1970). By an exchange of letters on Feb. 28, 1962, and Feb. 15–22,1971, the two countries agreed on the mode of sending diplomatic mail without couriers.
