Soviet-Brazilian Agreements
Diplomatic relations were established between the USSR and Brazil on Apr. 2, 1945. They were broken off on Oct. 20, 1947, and reestablished on Nov. 23,1961. Agreements include a trade and payments agreement (Apr. 20, 1963), two protocols on deliveries of machinery and equipment to Brazil (Aug. 9, 1966, and Dec. 2, 1969), an agreement on maritime navigation (Oct. 20,1972), and an agreement on deliveries of Soviet machinery and equipment to Brazil and of Brazilian goods to the USSR (Mar. 24,1975).
