Pintadera in archaeology, the name for a relief clay stamp, usually decorated with designs, used in many cultures from the Neolithic period to the Middle Ages. Pintaderas were widespread in the Caucasus and in the Black Sea area during the Aeneolithic period and the Bronze and early Iron ages. They could be used to print designs on flat ritual cakes and other objects. |
