Sborniki Russkogo Istoricheskogo Obshchestva

(Collections of the Russian Historical Society), publications of documentary materials on Russian history of the 15th to 19th centuries prepared by the Russian Historical Society. From 1867 through 1916, 148 volumes were published. Some contain varied materials; others are serial publications on particular subjects. Examples of the latter are Materials of Catherine’s Legislative Commission of 1767 (vols. 1–14), Papers and Correspondence of Catherine II (vols. 1–18), and Records of the Diplomatic Relations Between Old Russia and Foreign Powers (vols. 1–10). The collection Diplomatic Correspondence of Foreign Consuls and Envoys at the Russian Court is particularly extensive; materials for it were taken from Russian and foreign archives.
