释义	PUM1 PUM1 A gene on chromosome 1p35.2 that encodes a sequence-specific RNA-binding protein that regulates translation and mRNA stability by binding the 3'-UTR of mRNA targets. PUM1 may support stem cell proliferation and self-renewal by regulating translation of key transcripts. It is expressed in the brain, heart, kidneys, muscle, intestine and stomach and downregulated in keratinocytes in response to UVB irradiation.
