Verin-Talin

an urban-type settlement; administrative center of Talin Raion, Armenian SSR. Located on the Yerevan-Leninakan highway, 18 km northeast of the Karm-rashen railroad station. Population, 3,300 (1970). Verin-Talin has a butter and cheese plant, as well as plants producing household electrical appliances and asphalt and concrete. There is also a branch of the Sovetashen Knitwear Factory, a hatchery, and a national folk theater.
