VIA/cryo

Visualisation of the cervix with acetic acid/cryotherapy. A low-tech, low-cost method for managing precancerous lesions of the uterine cervix (e.g., cervical intraepithelial neoplasia—CIN II and III), consisting of visualising the cervix by “painting” it with acetic acid (vinegar), which causes the precancerous lesions to become white, and then freezing them off with cryotherapy.
