Born Jan. 27, 1928, in Zagreb. Yugoslavian economist. Academician of the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb (1973).

A professor of the Economics Faculty of Zagreb University, Stipetić is the author of scholarly works on the economic problems of agriculture. He deals mainly with the efficiency of agricultural production, the development of rational agroeconomic policies, and the socioeconomic structure of the population. Stipetic edited the textbook The Economics of Yugoslavia (vols. 1–2, 1964).
