Volume Rate of Change Volume Rate of ChangeThe percentage change in trading volume of a security over a period of time. For example, if 10 million shares trade on Wednesday and only five million trade on Thursday, the volume rate of change is -50%. The volume rate of change may determine how likely a price trend is to be sustained; that is, the higher the volume is, the more likely it is that a price change will become a trend. |
