Tsvetaev, Lev Alekseevich
Born 1777; died Feb. 7, 1835, in Moscow. Russian jurist.
Tsvetaev graduated from Moscow University in 1798; in 1801 he undertook further studies in Germany, and he later studied in France. In 1804, Tsvetaev was elected to the French Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, and in 1805 he became a professor at Moscow University. He taught courses in political economy, as well as natural, civil, criminal, and international law. Tsvetaev was the author of works on the history of Roman law.
