(literary pseudonym of Muhammad Shafi, also called Mirza Kuchik Shirazi). Born in Shiraz, date of birth unknown; died 1846. Iranian poet.

Visal was a court poet of Fath Ali Qajar (1771-1834). His poetic legacy consists of about 12,000 poems, which are distinguished by a mastery of form and were written in imitation of the classical authors. Visal completed the poem Farhad and Shirin, which was begun by the poet Vahsi Karmani.
