(trăns′kär-băm′ə-lās′, -lāz′) or trans·car·bam·o·yl·ase (trăns′kär-băm′ō-ə-lās′, -lāz′)n. Any of various enzymes that catalyze the transfer of carbamyl groups from one molecule to another. Also called carbamyltransferase.
