Sary-Sinap
a Crimean variety of apple that does not require special soil conditions. The large, long-lived trees have a high pyramidal crown. Fruiting begins in the tenth to 15th year. The apples are medium-sized (100 g) and almost barrel-shaped (sometimes cylindrical); they are yellow-green when picked and later turn golden. The dense, white flesh is sweet and winy. The apples are eaten raw, and they store very well (until June of the following year). The yield is 400 kg per tree. The apples have been regionalized in the southern European RSFSR, the Moldavian SSR, the Ukrainian SSR, the Georgian SSR, the Kazakh SSR, the Kirghiz SSR, and the Turkmen SSR.
