Any of a group of double-stranded RNA viruses which occur in the respiratory and digestive tracts of healthy individuals but which may cause infantile diarrhoea (rotaviruses) and Colorado tick fever (orbiviruses). A part-acronym from ‘Respiratory’, ‘Enteric’, ‘Orphan’.
