Sotsialisticheskaia Zakonnost

(Socialist Legality), a monthly journal of the Ministry of Justice of the USSR, Procurator’s Office of the USSR, and Supreme Court of the USSR. Sotsialisticheskaia zakonnost’ has been published in Moscow since January 1934. It treats current theoretical problems of Soviet law and judicial practice, publishes the texts of new legislative acts, proposals for improving Soviet legislation, and legal consultations, and advises the personnel of the courts, procurator’s office, arbitration, and notariat on their methods of activity. It organizes exchanges of information among jurists and acquaints its readers with legislation and the work of judicial institutions in foreign states. Circulation, more than 230,000 (1978).
