Physicalism
Physicalism a neopositivist concept according to which the propositions of the concrete sciences are to be translated into the language of physics, or into “physicalia.” The chief proponents of the concept were O. Neurath and R. Carnap. Physicalism formed the basis of the neopositivist idea of unifying all the sciences through a universal language. All attempts to realize this idea have proved unsuccessful. physicalism Related to physicalism: Type physicalismSynonyms for physicalismnoun (philosophy) the philosophical theory that matter is the only realitySynonymsRelated Words- dialectical materialism
